Swedish Christmas Traditions

In Sweden, we celebrate Christmas on 24th December. Instead of a roast dinner, we have a buffet or “julbord”.  A traditional “julbord” includes a cold roast ham, meatballs, pickled herring, red & green cabbage, Jansson’s temptation a (creamy potato gratin) and egg halves topped with mayonnaise & prawns.
